LOUISIANA MILITARY HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM
BOARD TO BE SWORN IN APRIL 11
Secretary of State Jay Dardenne is announcing the swearing in of the governing board of the
Louisiana Military Hall of Fame and Museum on April 11 at noon. The ceremony will take place at the
future museum site at Chris Crusta Airport in Abbeville.
The Louisiana Military Hall of Fame and Museum is one of the newest additions to the Secretary
of State’s Museums Program. The members of the museum’s governing board will be Lane A. Carson,
Covington; Commander Andre Laborde, New Orleans; Louis Michot, Lafayette; General Bob Leblanc,
Abbeville; Adrian Lee Bruneau, Jefferson; Joe D. Hill, Lake Charles; Don Sands, Lafayette; Revis
Sirmon, Abbeville; Joey LeRouge, Lafayette; Johnny Raymond, Breaux Bridge; N.R. Broussard,
Abbeville; Felix Weill, Baton Rouge and Stan Wall, West Monroe.
The museum will offer veterans the opportunity to share their knowledge and skills with the
public. It will serve as an educational center featuring memorabilia, as well as personal stories and facts,
that unveil to the observer WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War and Iraq, as well as other areas
of the war on terrorism. In addition, the museum will be open on Veterans Day to allow visitors to honor
those who have served in the armed forces.
