Dear Readers,

Louisiana Genealogy Blogs - Help create links to other genealogy blogs in Louisiana! If you have a Louisiana genealogy blog, please send me a link. You can find links to other genealogy blogs from a variety of sources below this blog. There are links to news stories about genealogy in Louisiana (when that Google thing works) and genealogy tags from Word Press, Louisiana posts from Cousin Connect, and posts from the genealogy community at Live Journal. You may also find other networking websites linking here interested in genealogy and a whole slew of other genealogy blogs. Most of the Louisiana Parishes RootsWeb mailing lists are found linked to the left. I have found these to be the most helpful. Maybe, you will, too.

Hello Louisiana Genealogy Blog Group Members,

There is not much going on at MSN groups, lately. The only group with activity to report this week seems to be A Genealogy Experience. A Genealogy Experience Community chat room is open 24/7 at SPCN. The SPCN "Spearkpea.net" chat is not compatible with my Firefox browser. So you will have to use Internet Explorer browser. Internet Explorer seemed to work. There is a guest registration form , however, the chat room does require registration verification through your email addy.

GenHaven has assisted me before in their chat room.Chat moderators have Ancestry.com memberships and have assisted me with finding sources of information. I believe GenHaven's chat room is compatable with my Firefox, too. I just love it.
